PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGNS
Dune 2 x DAZN
Working alongside Warner Bros. I was tasked with creating a promotional video that combined the best of boxing, as well as key action scenes from Dune 2. Originally edited to royalty free music I was then given the luxury of using the movie score to help bring the story to life. This was then shown in theatres across the USA.
Boxing Retention
The Boxing Retention promo at DAZN has taken on many different looks, but when it came to reworking it last year I was asked to edit the piece. This promo takes a prominent position in all our broadcasts, as a way of showing the breadth of fights we have available as the global home of boxing.
DAZN moves to Sky Q
Originally briefed as an informative explainer video, we flipped the script and came up with a way to not only get across the necessary information, but also to excite the viewer for the move. I did this by showing the best of what we offered at the time. The script and visuals keep the pace high and create an enjoyable experience, whilst also providing key details as requested by the stakeholders.
Crawford vs. Madrimov
A global campaign is always needed when the #1 Pound for Pound boxer returns to the ring. I had to find a way to incorporate fast paced action into a promotional video that not only focused on the boxer, but also marketed the platform as the number one destination for all the best boxing.
MMA on DAZN
The challenge with this campaign was to create a promo that sells the sport without showing excessive violence. This was due to the watershed and the restrictions regarding its air time within a broadcast running order. The approach taken was to show no violence at all, focusing more on the fighters personal experience both before and after their battle.
Womens Sport
Working on a campaign that pushed the boundaries of womens sport was a privilege. We wanted this to be a celebration of how far these sports have come and focus on the incredible and unforgettable moments we have witnessed in such a short space of time.
Gladiator 2 x DAZN
Following the success of the Dune 2 campaign I was once again briefed to create a Hollywood crossover, this time working with Paramount to promote their newest sequel Gladiator 2. Fortunately the similarities between boxing and this blockbuster epic are clear to see and allowed me to create another outstanding trailer to be played in theatres across the USA.
